As a World Heritage city, Porto is the ideal starting point to explore the diverse cultural and natural wonders of the region. You'll savor its famed Port wine and marvel at its mix of ancient and modern architecture, including the Cathedral, Church of São Francisco, Casa da Música, and Serralves Museum. Porto's School of Architecture has also produced Pritzker Prize-winning talents, like Álvaro Siza Vieira and Eduardo Souto de Moura.
Porto Cathedral and Views
Initiated by its first bishop, D. Hugo, in the 12th century, Porto Cathedral is also known as the Church of Santa Maria do Porto, de Nossa Senhora do Porto da Eterna Salvação or Nossa Senhora da Vandoma, highlighting the significance of the Marian cult. Our guide will showcase the building's exterior architecture and stunning views of the river and wine cellars in Gaia while delving into the rich history of Porto and Portugal.
S. Bento Railway Station
The S. Bento Railway Station was constructed in the early 20th century on the site of the former Convent of S. Bento de Avé-Maria.
